Two NYPD officers were shot and critically injured while responding to a domestic violence call in Harlem Friday evening, police sources said.
The gunfire erupted around 5:10 p.m. on West 135th Street, as police responded to a dispute between a mother and son, sources confirmed.
One of the officers was struck in the face by gunfire, law-enforcement sources told The Post.
The suspect was also shot, according to sources.
The NYPD urged residents in a tweet to avoid the area.
Mayor Eric Adams was headed to Harlem Hospital where the injured officers were being treated, his press secretary tweeted.
