Soccer Mommy has announced her new album Sometimes, Forever, with the showstopping new single ‘shotgun’ and its accompanying video. The song holds the same blunt, observational nature and homemade feel while expanding on her trademark style with a heavier, shoegaze-influenced sound.
The song starts with the presence of a fast-moving, digital-sounding backdrop with lush, dreamy vocals. This pop-inspired element to the song compliments the whirring and distortion that appear subtly alongside (and more prominently later) on the track.
The accompanying video shows what appears to be a childhood bedroom where Soccer Mommy plays her guitar and sings. Later the video breaks the fourth wall and the room is revealed
