Looking for a homestay holiday? Here are five ‘ethical’ alternatives to Airbnb

Ditch Airbnb and TUI in favour of more ethical, environmentally-friendly alternatives, a leading consumer organisation has urged.

Ethical consumer ranked 29 self-booking travel companies using a range of factors such as emissions and community engagement.

TUI and Airbnb scored poorly, losing out to ethical alternatives such as Canopy & Stars and Fairbnb. As a result, the alternative consumer organisation is asking people to think twice before booking with some popular services.

Why did AirBnb and TUI rank so poorly?
