Christmas travel: Eurostar strike action called off as pay talks continue

Security staff at international rail service Eurostar will strike in the run up to Christmas over a pay dispute, a British union representing transport workers said on Wednesday.

Eurostar runs train passenger rail services linking London to Paris and other European capitals.

Members of the National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT) working for Eurostar were originally due to walk out on 16, 18, 22 and 23 December. However, strikes on 16 and 18 December have been called off to give union members time to vote on a new pay offer.
