As the cold winter days drag on through February, it’s not hard to find yourself dreaming of sunnier skies.
Italy has plenty of destinations that stay relatively mild during the winter. A recent survey by vacation rental site Holidu has ranked the locations with the best weather.
So where are the sunniest places in Italy for a warm winter break?
Soak up volcanic scenery in Catania
The elegant city of Catania on the east coast of Sicily is one of Italy’s sunniest destinations.
It enjoys an average of 347 hours of sunshine a month and an annual average temperature of 18 degrees Celsius.
