Tuesday night found Times Square receiving a true Brat makeover from Charli XCX. The musician took the midtown landmark by storm for a viral surprise performance, followed by a raucous afterparty at the Hotel Chelsea—all thanks to H&M.

To mark the opening of its new Times Square store, H&M invited everyone across the city to party with Charli. Ahead of the festivities, editors and influencers mingled with champagne at the nearby Times Square EDITION. Just before the clock struck 6, the crew was ferried out into a packed Times Square, where the general public came in droves after rumors leaked online of a public pop-up XCX concert.
