I didn’t think I’d be revisiting the London Olympics, but I stumbled upon a great logo alternative that’s worth some credit.
“I began looking at the Olympic rings in the context of London, thinking about the city’s history, landmarks, and personality, but also remembering that this is for a sports competition.
I quickly saw how the London Underground logo, a symbol for the city’s pursuit towards modernism, technology, and commerce, could be that element to merge with the rings. When I started playing with how they’d work together I discovered the opportunity to pull the Olympic track into the mix, too.”

Rings, track, and the iconic Underground roundel.
A lovely idea by Jon Dicus.
Eatock’s still edges it.
