Plaza de la Villa, located in Sencelles, a quaint municipality in central Majorca, Spain. The project addresses a crucial space for the citizens of Sencelles, bordered by the Parish Church, the Town Hall, and the local bar, “Café Cán Paris”.
Over the course of the last decades, the plaza had lost its status as an effective public space, basically being used as a parking lot. The competition brief called for the reevaluation of the vehicular circulation in order to recover the plaza’s historic function as the town’s principal space of congregation.
