The U.S. Department of State has issued the application to curate the U.S. exhibit at the 2025 Venice Architecture Biennale

The 19th Venice Architecture Biennale is scheduled to open in Venice in May 2025: While the global design and architecture exhibition may seem like a long ways off, the Board of the biannual festival has already named its next curator Carlo Ratti, and The U.S. Department of State has issued its open call for applications to curate the exhibit for the U.S. Pavilion that will be on view for the duration of the Biennale.

As is the precedent, those encouraged to apply are nonprofits with 501 (c)(3) status. The State department anticipates a $350,000 grant will be awarded to the winning submission. Of these funds, $125,000
