Many Broadway theaters will no longer check vaccination status after April 30, the Broadway League announced Friday.
The League, however, did decide to extend the current mask requirement for audience members through at least May 31. They plan to announce audience masking protocols for June and beyond in May.
Many venues in the city no longer require proof of vaccination, but Broadway has continued to require at least two doses of a two-dose vaccine, or one dose of a one-dose vaccine. That requirement was extended in January. It covered all patrons ages 12 and up, and to cover 5- to 11-year-olds in December.
