You can almost hear the roar of the exhaust pipes at in Queens. There are 10 custom motorcycles on display there, but it’s not a showroom, it’s an art gallery.
That’s where an exhibition called “In Motion: Art of the Motorcycle” is currently on display. It kicked off last weekend with Kulture Fest 2023, a motorcycle show and competition in the Culture Lab parking lot.
“All the motorcycles that are here today were built in someone’s garage, so if that doesn’t count as art, I don’t know what does,” said Edjo Wheeler, executive director of Culture Lab LIC.
