The Covid-19 pandemic forced the young designer Andrew Kwon to rethink his business. The pandemic pretty much suspended our social lives and event dressing was almost nil. What’s a designer who has a penchant for glamour to do? The Asian-American Colorado-raised Kwon pivoted to bridal wear. He is only four seasons in but is gaining quite the attention.
His bridal gowns bridge the line between tradition and modernity, offering layers and layers of tulle and lace fantasia alongside tailored pieces like jumpsuit wedding ensembles adorned with a swish of floral appliques and structured jackets that finish with frilly hems.
