After seven years of successful Pinoy Heritage pop-ups, and garnering accolades that include Eater SF’s “Pop-Up of the Year” and being named an SF Chronicle Top 100 Restaurant (without even having a brick and mortar), Co- Owner/ Executive Chef Francis Ang and wife/ Director of Operations & Co- Owner Dian Ang opened Abacá in San Francisco’s Hotel Alton in 2021. Today, Abacá has garnered awards ranging from being named Esquire’s America’s Best New Restaurant to a James Beard Semi Finalist for best new restaurant to “Most Innovative Menu” from Eater SF and a New York Times 50 best restaurants in America.
