Chiang Mai- and Bali-based artist Justin Bateman speaks about his background and how he came to create portraits out of stones, where the natural habitat serves as inspiration for his creative expression.

You were born in 1976 in Portsmouth. Tell me about where you were born, your background, your upbringing, your parents, what you were like as a child and if any of your family members were artists.
