Goose will celebrate their upcoming album, Everything Must Go, with a once-in-a-lifetime record release event on March 11 at 7 p.m. at the fine art amusement park, Luna Luna: Forgotten Fantasy.
The event is an immersive experience based on Everything Must Go’s themes. The live experience will include costumed characters by illustrator Brian Blomerth in theatrical, interactive storytelling and an experimental set by Goose, in collaboration with Brooklyn-based producer/mix engineer Abe Seiferth. The event will also feature a vinyl listening area, where fans are able to listen to teaser samples of the upcoming record.
Consisting of members Rick Mitarotonda (vocals, guitar), Peter Anspach (vocals, keys, guitar), Trevor Weekz (bass), Jeff Arevalo (vocals, percussion, drums) and Cotter Ellis (vocals, drums), Goose is most notably known for its genre-blending song, improvisational live performances and dedicated fan base. With recognizable indie-rock hooks and driving rhythm lines, the band has taken ground on some of the largest music venues in the country.
Luna Luna: Forgotten Fantasy, located in Hudson Yards, invites visitors into a colorful funhouse of carnival attractions by visionary artists of the 20th century, including renowned artists like Jean-Michel Basquiat, Sonia Delaunay, Keith Haring and more. Highlighting the vibrant and once forgotten fairground, originally located in Hamburg, Germany, Luna Luna: Forgotten Fantasy resurrects not only the artwork but its design, beauty and concepts.
Everything Must Go is available to listen to on Friday, April 25. This record is the Connecticut-based band’s first new studio LP in about three years, ahead of their 2022 release, Dripfield. The new record includes reimagined live staples and songs that capture the band’s ever-evolving sound.
