Most metrics in the technology industry are bleak right now. Share prices for tech firms are sinking, megadeals that minted unicorn startups in the private venture-capital market have become scarce and reports of layoffs are back following two years of steady growth.
There are still some bright spots in New York City’s tech industry, however. About 70% of company leaders in the city expect to increase technology-related hiring this year, according to a poll of 300 C-suite executives released Thursday by Accenture and Tech:NYC.
