Good afternoon. We’re here to help you get ready for the week, which would feature the start of spring training if baseball’s lockout wasn’t lasting even longer than a World Series game. The economic highlight of the week is Friday’s consumer-sentiment index from the University of Michigan. Readings have been their lowest since 2011, which tells you how sick and tired everyone is of being sick and tired. That said, Midtown is getting livelier, it’s harder to find a seat on the subway, and I just saw the first crocus.
