Mayor Eric Adams says New Yorkers have a certain reputation, and they need to own it.
During an interview with Crain’s, Adams insisted that New Yorkers underestimate the power of the nickname “The city that never sleeps” and the standing that comes with that.
“That is our title,” he said. “People come here because they say, ‘When I’m home in my own little city somewhere, at 11 o’clock, everyone is always sleeping. Not in New York.’”
