NYC Test & Trace Corps, the city’s initiative for Covid testing and contact tracing, will end universal contact tracing—where every positive case is called up—by the end of April.
The decision to end contact tracing stems from a combination of increased vaccination rates, falling infection rates and the availability of new medication such as Pfizer’s Paxlovid, a pill for treating mild to moderate Covid.The program was established in June 2020.
