Top lawmakers are finalizing the text of a sweeping government funding package, hustling to pass the deal as the White House increased its ask for Ukraine assistance.
The Biden administration revamped its emergency funding request Thursday morning, asking Congress for almost $33 billion, including $10 billion to respond to the fallout from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and $22.5 billion to address the pandemic.
