Amazon workers on Staten Island are going to the polls again starting Monday, with a chance to build off a historic labor victory earlier this month.
Employees at Amazon’s LDJ5 warehouse will cast their ballots for a union vote from Monday through Friday, with results expected as early as May 2. About 1,500 workers will vote on whether to join the Amazon Labor Union, which on April 1 won a decisive vote to organize more than 5,000 employees at JKF8 on Staten Island.
The first vote on Staten Island came out of a grassroots effort led by current and former Amazon employees. The ALU won with 2,654 yes
