Workspace for freelancers opening soon at Industry City

By the end of the month, more than half a million freelancers will be able to access free coworking space in Industry City, a project supported by the city.
 
The Freelancers Hub will take up 4,413 square feet and be open to any members of the Freelancers Union who want to work there, officials said. Joining the union is free.
 
“They came here because of what Industry City represents,” said Jeff Fein, senior vice president of leasing at Industry City. “It plays like a freelancers’ playground: retail, amenities, outdoor space.”

Fein did not disclose the lease price, but asking rents at Industry City run from $15 to $40 per square
