The timeline for the state’s recreational marijuana rollout has become clearer.
Tremaine Wright, chairwoman of the state’s Cannabis Control Board, which regulates the industry, said she is hopeful the regulations will be available for public comment starting next month and will be open for discussion until March.
Wright announced the timeline of the recreational marijuana rollout at the Crain’s New York Business forum Dec. 15. She said she is sticking to the 18-month timeline that was proposed when the bill was enacted in March, but she hopes that businesses will be able to start applying for licenses before September.
