I read the press release and did a double take. It took a moment for it to sink in, as it would anyone with a memory that extends past last week.
El Al started life in 1948 as the national airline of Israel, although it has since been privatized. Etihad is the national carrier of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), long part of the Arab boycott of Israel.
