Eastern European capitals usually tend to top the rankings for cheapest city vacations, but this year Portugal’s capital has snagged the number one spot.
The UK Post Office’s annual travel money report compared 12 typical tourist costs in 35 European cities.
The survey found Lisbon to be the most economical city in Europe for a short break.
So look forward to savoring pastel de nata and admiring azulejos without the price tag.
