“Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2022,” said to be the most-watched, televised celebration, marks its 50th year. This year, the show welcomes the first-ever Spanish language countdown live from Puerto Rico. Unfortunately, the festive party set to take place has been reduced to a virtual event due to the Omicron variant of Covid-19.
Originally, the event was going to be celebrated in person with nearly 10,000 people. In mid-December, the situation changed so that attendees must show full vaccination as well as a negative PCR or antigen test. Masks were also to be required.
