When’s a good time of year to visit Philadelphia?
There are the sports seasons to keep in mind, of course, whether you’re keen to see the Phillies play at Citizens Bank Park in the summer or the Flyers at Xfinity Mobile Arena in the winter. Old City really comes alive in the fall, when the foliage is in full color and the tourist crowds have thinned out (Eastern State Penitentiary becomes a fun place to visit, too, during Halloween). While it gets pretty chilly in the winter, there are plenty of things to do around the Christmas season, like skating at Dilworth Park or visiting the Christmas village at Love Park. In the spring, cherry blossoms reach peak bloom at Longwood Gardens.
