Unidome’s Transparent Igloos

Earlier we looked at the work of Dream Domes, a UK-based event structure company. They’ve worked out a way to erect large event tents with no central support. In the UK is another company called Unidome that also builds circular-footprint event structures, albeit smaller, and with transparent walls. Rather than being competitors, the two companies are collaborating. This year patrons of Glide, an ice skating rink located at the Battersea Power Station retail and dining complex, can rent these Unidome “igloos” for 90-minute periods. Dream Domes is doing the installation.Dream Domes says they’ll have the igloos up by this Monday.
