Don Felder is joining forces with The Guess Who for a massive North American tour that unites some of classic rock’s most iconic names. “Takin’ It Back Tour” is due to run throughout the summer with a string of headline shows in the U.S. and Canada. This run demonstrates Felder’s enduring momentum as a touring artist, with fans now getting a chance to see him alongside two other legends, Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman.
According to a press release from Don Felder’s team, the dates kicked off May 26 with a Canadian run through June 10, before heading stateside beginning with Felder’s appearance at Milwaukee’s Summerfest on June 20.
Don rejoins The Guess Who on June 25 in Minnesota as the tour continues through major markets including Chicago, Detroit, Boston, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and more before wrapping August 22 in Seattle, Washington.
The legendary guitarist and songwriter—best known for his iconic tenure with Eagles—recently released The Vault – Fifty Years of Music and is excited to hit the road once again. “There’s nothing like playing these songs live for audiences who’ve carried them with them for generations,” says Felder. “Getting to share the stage with Burton and Randy every night is going to make this tour something really special for classic rock fans.”
Beyond his celebrated music career, Felder is also a New York Times bestselling author for his memoir Heaven and Hell: My Life in the Eagles, a television host, and a soundtrack composer, contributing music to the animated cult classic Heavy Metal as well as the score for the CBS cartoon series Galaxy High. Over the years, he has collaborated with an impressive range of artists including Bee Gees, Diana Ross, Barbra Streisand, Andy Gibb, and Stevie Nicks, contributing guitar work to Nicks’ first two solo albums.
