Bieber is a longtime batter for team bob, but in the last few months, she’s been wearing her hair in near-princessy lengths. Freeing herself from her Bieberchella extensions and summer slickback, H.B is back with a fresh cut.
The Rhode mogul debuted her new look on Instagram yesterday. Her hairstylist Justine Marjan, who also worked with Bieber’s other go-to hair woman Irinel de León, shared more on the hair transformation, describing it as a “soft point blunt cut, with longer, faceframing layers.” And as noted by Marjan, a “modern version of the ’90s lob.” It’s a little longer than her previous bob, with less layers too. The color also looks refreshed, a warm milk chocolate brunette. The rest of her glam, by makeup artist Leah Darcy, was kept bronzey and summer-ready, with a smokey brown eye, warm cheeks with a soft contour and dappled, peachy-pink blush (Rhode’s Freckle?) and a perfectly lined, juicy pink lip.
For Coachella—Bieberchella—and with help from some well-placed extensions, Bieber swapped her jaw-skimming bob to wear her hair in long graduating layers to her chest, with warm shades of blonde woven through. But a bob has become a Hailey Bieber beauty safe space: whether its bouncy and cropped to below her ears or a razored, one-length chop.
While this haircut is ever so slightly shorter, the clavi-cut seems to be the celebrity hair look du jour. Off Campus star Ella Bright debuted her own collar-bone hitting look recently: a sleek blown out cut styled by Jacob Rosenberg. Just like Hailey’s, Bright’s new style is perfect inspiration for a summer refresh: short enough to feel light and airy, but long enough to keep styling in an effortless bun or a trending summer ponytail.
À la Hailey Bieber, the lob is the summer power move.
