LIVE SHOW ALERT: Paola Cruz @ The Bitter End

Paola Cruz is a young blues, soul, and R&B singer-songwriter whose music blends Southern grit, soulful vulnerability, and the rich influence of her Honduran-Salvadoran heritage. With a voice reminiscent of Amy Winehouse, Paola moves effortlessly between sensual ballads and raw declarations of heartbreak, delivering each song with a captivating sense of intimacy.

Come experience Paola live as she brings her soulful, sultry sound to the stage with her 6-piece band at The Bitter End on September 25th. Tickets can be found here for only $22.73.

A graduate of NYU’s Songwriting Master’s program, Paola has quickly established herself within New York City’s live music scene, bringing her lounge-lit presence to stages including Rockwood Music Hall, Nublu, and The Bitter End. Whether backed by a full band, accompanied by a small combo, or sitting behind a solo piano, her unmistakable voice commands attention.

Her original music captures the messy, bittersweet sides of love and longing, from the soulful ache of “I Gotta Quit You Baby” and “That Ain’t Love” to the dreamy introspection of “Sweet Escape” and “If Not For Me.” With “Taxicab,” she turns late-night city wandering into a portrait of romantic uncertainty, showcasing the storytelling and emotional honesty that define her sound. Her repertoire also includes a soulful take on Adele’s “Million Years Ago,” putting her powerful vocal range and emotional delivery front and center.

With a voice built for dimly lit rooms and songs steeped in heartbreak, longing, and desire, Cruz will perform soulful originals including “I Gotta Quit You Baby,” “Spinning,” “Taxicab,” “If Not For Me,” and “That Ain’t Love.”

Cruz’s intimate songwriting will take on a fuller, richer sound, blending soulful vocals with live instrumentation and the energy of one of New York’s most iconic music venues.
