Shane MacGowans Pub is coming to NYC, taking over the 250 W. 14th Street in the space in the West Village that used to be McKenna’s Pub.
The owners write: “We are incredibly honored to be opening this space with the blessing of Shane’s family, bringing his raw, poetic Irish punk spirit to the West Village.”
No word on the opening date but their socials say “Coming Soon.”
Also coming soon (well, November 13): 20th Century Paddy: The Songs of Shane MacGowan which features renditions of Pogues and MacGowan songs by Tom Waits, Bruce Springsteen, Dropkick Murphys, U2, The Libertines, Primal Scream, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Kate Moss, and more.
