War Is Coming in the ‘Percy Jackson’ Season 3 Trailer

The war between the gods and Titans is starting in season three of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and as usual, the demigods are caught in the middle.

The trailer for season three of the series takes a notably darker tone than the previous two seasons — both literally (there are quite a few dimly lit shots) and figuratively. The action turns on Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries) being abducted and Percy (Walker Scobell) going on a quest to rescue her. In order to do that, “he must free a goddess in chains, confront the Titan’s curse, and avoid triggering the fall of Olympus,” the season’s logline reads. “With Grover (Aryan Simhadri) by his side, Percy must join some unlikely questmates to confront a prophecy with dire consequences.” Watch the trailer below.

Charlie Bushnell and Tamara Smart also star in season three, continuing their roles as Luke and Thalia. Levi Chrisopulos joins the regular cast as fan favorite character Nico di Angelo; Dior Goodjohn (Clarisse La Rue), Daniel Diemer (Tyson), Glynn Turman (Chiron), Courtney B. Vance (Zeus), Jason Mantzoukas (Dionysus), Beatrice Kitsos (Allison Simms) and Kevin Chacon (Chris Rodriguez) also return.

New to the show for season three are Olive Abercrombie as Nico’s older sister Bianca, Dafne Keen as Artemis, Saara Chaudry as Artemis’ liuetenant Zoë Nightshade, Jesse L. Martin as Frederick Chase, Holt McCallany as Atlas, David Costabile as Dr. Thorn, Kate McKinnon as Aphrodite, Ming-Na Wen as Hera, Jennifer Beals as Demeter and Hubert Smielecki as Apollo.

Percy Jackson author Rick Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg created the series and executive produce season three with Dan Shotz, Craig Silverstein, Rebecca Riordan, The Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Jeremy Bell, Bert Salke, James Bobin, Jim Rowe, Albert Kim, Sarah Watson and Tamara Becher-Wilkinson. Jet Wilkinson is an EP on the final two episodes of the season.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians premieres Nov. 20 on Disney+ and will stream two episodes a week for four weeks.
