Zendaya Breaks From Method Dressing To Embrace the Dimes Square Girl Special

Zendaya and Law Roach have some serious work on their hands promoting and dressing for both The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day press tours, happening concurrently. For the former, modern takes on Grecian tunics. The latter, literally cobwebbed vintage, spidey-suit colors, and vintage merch.

But Zendaya decided to take a short break from all the method dressing yesterday. Stepping out in New York, the actor called upon some Dimes Square staples: she wore a scooped white tank top, super low slung baggy blue jeans with the cuffs turned up, and red velvet Margiela tabis. (When she’s not in her trusted red-bottomed Loubs, you’ll catch Z in slip-on Birkenstocks, gorpy Ecco ballet pumps, or the split-toe tabis in some variation.)

For accessories, she kept to her favorites, toting a Louis Vuitton City Steamer bag in soft cream leather, and wearing her Jessica McCormack wedding band and east-west cushion cut diamond engagement ring from husband and Spider-Man co-star Tom Holland. Her cropped curly pixie cut was pushed back nonchalantly with a pair of sunglasses.

While it’s a hard pivot away from what we’ve been seeing every other day on her respective press tours, Zendaya’s more casual fits lean on the basics, most comfortable in easy jeans, tank tops, and bandanas over her bixie cut.

Don’t expect too much of a pause from Zendaya and stylist Roach, though. This brief interlude is probably building to the next Mount Olympus-worthy fit.
