So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.

PATRICK WOLF – “THE BEAST”
Patrick Wolf follows last year’s Crying the Neck, his first album in 13 years, with a new single, “The Beast.” He wrote, produced, engineered, and recorded it, and it’s the first of two new tracks he’ll release as he begins his new North American tour. “Meeting what my audience had become in my 13 years away from the United States gave me an electric shock of inspiration,” he says. “As I listened to them tell me that my music gave them a sense of being less alone in this bewildering world. So, I slowly began adding in more songs from my catalogue into to my setlist that held this message and by the end of that tour, I knew I needed to come back sooner than I had expected and what kind of energy and vision to bring with me. Over winter, I finished writing two new songs that stand alone forming the backbone of the Tour Of The Beat setlist and will serve as a bridge to the next album. I received so much love and empowerment from my 2025 North American tour that I cannot wait to return and give my all. The Tour Of The Beast is a tour for the outcast, the pariah, the one with the scarlet letter they are only just learning to wear with pride.”

RARE DM – “LA TRAFFIC”
Ahead of the release of their new album Attention this Friday, Dare DM has shared a final advance single, “LA Traffic.” “As a recovering ‘late-person’ LA Traffic began as a little self-drag, for how I had trouble getting to ‘the party’ on time,” she says. “I drove my friends a little crazy – always be trying to leave, remembering something else I still HAD to do. Additionally, socializing is so often networking in disguise. Especially in bigger cities, people size you up for social and career capital while hiding behind pleasantries. This song really clicked from the start. I used my original scratch vocal in for the ‘baby!’ chorus, and my Juno 60 hit some magic with the LFO from the get-go. Producer Margo XS took the mix to the next level.”
